Frank (Casey) Lutz Rites Are Today

Frank (Casey) Lutz passed away February 27th at the McBride Nursing Home where he had resided for the past two years.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 2nd. The Reverent William Shattuck will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. The Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.

Frank Lutz was born October 22, 1895 in Blair, Nebraska, and was 71 years of age at the time of his death.

Mr. Lutz and Kate Pfaff were married on April 8, 1922 at Herrick, South Dakota where they lived for three years before moving to Blair. They farmed for a number of years and he was employed at the Blair Post office for twenty years prior to his retirement in 1957.

He was a 2nd Lt. in World War I and served as Commander of both the Blair posts of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Kate, and four children: John Lutz of Blair, Robert Lutz of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Mrs. Ivan Larsen (Georgia) of Blair, Mrs. Clyde Larson, Jr. (Twila) of Merritt Island, Florida. Other survivors include ten grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Leslie Rosenbaum (Margaret) of Blair.

Pallbearers will be Al Sick, Ted Stewart, Claar Millrons, Don Stewart, Everett Lamb and J. Marion Stricklett.
