Rachel D. Epperson, 90

Rachel D. Epperson, 90, of Lincoln died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Bryan Hospital in Lincoln.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair, with visitation beginning one hour prior to service. Interment will be 1 p.m. in the Tekamah Cemetery at Tekamah.

Rachel D. Feelhaver was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Tekamah to Howard and Tillie (Schmidt) Feelhaver. She was raised in Tekamah and graduated from Tekamah High School in 1941.

She married Arlo Worley Epperson on June 16, 1944, in Tekamah, and they farmed in the area for five years.

They gave up farming and moved to Omaha, where Mr. Epperson began his sales career. To follow his pursuits, they lived in Iowa, Texas and Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Juliann, Carol Jean and Randall Worley.

After their children were grown, the couple moved outside of Blair. She enjoyed raising feeder calves, boarding horses and planting numerous different species of trees and shrubs. She collected antiques and operated an antique booth for several years.

Mr. Epperson preceded her in death on April 10, 1991.

She is survived by her three children: Juliann (Art) Annin, Carol (Brian) Mahan and Randall (Brenda) Epperson; special companion Carl Watts; six grandchildren: Scott Annin, Matt (Christine) Annin, Rachel (James Gregory) Mahan, Emily (Caleb) Mahan-Riggs and Alex and Andrew Epperson; and two great-grandchildren: Clara Rachel Riggs and Kaitlyn Grace Annin.

Memorials may be directed to the Burt County Museum.
