Golda Petersen To Be Buried On Tuesday

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at First Methodist Church for Golda Gay Petersen who died April 16, 1983, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

The Rev. Gordon Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Golda Gay Petersen was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on May 7, 1904, to Jeptha and Hester Hubbard Smith. A homemaker, she was married to Walter W. Petersen on March 31, 1921, in Omaha.

She is survived by her husband, Walter W. Petersen, Blair; and three daughters, Mrs. Bill (Madge) Smith, Omaha, Mrs. Augie (Joan) Stricker, Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and Mrs. Dale (Gay) Crandell, Grand Island, Nebraska. Seven grandchildren, two great-grand-children; two sisters, Mrs. Edna McDermott, Omaha and Mrs. Evelyn McIntrye, Blair and one brother, Wayne Smith, Boulder, Colorado, also survive her.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Anderson, Todd Crandell, Ron Grasmick, Mark Petersen, Randy Petersen, Chuck Welle, Alan Tricker, Craig Tiedtke and Joe Peare.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hunt, Merton Jensen, Wayne Lambertz, Emery Nelson, Dr. C.D. Howard, Dr. D.R. Ehlers, Roger Stricklett, Gordon Vinton, Keith Vinton, R.D. Zimmerman and Harry Beck.

Bette Kirk will be organist. Clare Cowing will provide the vocal music.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
