Hans G. Petersen Died Wednesday At Blair Hospital

Hans G. Petersen, a long-time Blair resident who has been associated with the farm implement business, died at the Blair Community Hospital. He had been in failing health and had been hospitalized for several weeks.

The deceased was born at Blair, January 3, 1887 and was 88 years old at his death.

Mrs. Petersen survives her husband and the couple had lived at 2054 Washington Street for many years. Besides his wife, Sadie, he is survived by a son, Wilford (Bud) Petersen of Fontana, California. Another son, Russell, who was living at Greeley, Colorado, preceded his father in death several weeks ago. The couple had no other children. There are five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, Walter Petersen, of Blair, who has been associated with the Vinton Motor Company since the firm was organized. There are two sisters, Mrs. Frieda DeVinney, of Blair and a sister, Mrs. Dora Christensen, of Aurora, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Campbell Mortuary. Father Robert Bee of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church conducted the service. Burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Jensen, Don Jensen, Jack Petersen, George Christensen, Richard Nelson and L.E. Smith.
