Jack H. Petersen, 70

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, January 19 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for Jack H. Petersen, 70 of Blair who died Monday, January 16, 1995. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Jack H. Petersen was born January 16, 1925 in Blair to Herman and Nettie Wilkins Petersen. He attended school in Arlington and Herman, graduating from Herman High School in 1942.

After his graduation, he entered the Army in April, 1943 and was in the service until the end of World War II.

He returned to Blair and farmed until the start of the Korean War, at which time he re-entered the military.

He married Agnes Uhing at Tekamah, Nebraska July 28, 1956. They farmed in rural Blair until moving to Blair in 1983.

He was a member of American Legion Hain Flynn Post No. 154 in Blair and was a past school board member in Herman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Connie Petersen of Omaha and Mark and Kay Petersen of Blair; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacque and Frank Wilkins of Blair; eight grandchildren, Jessica Petersen, Corey Petersen, Kiley Petersen, Matt Wilkins, Katie Wilkins, Mandy Petersen, Jenny Petersen and Jake Petersen; one sister, Iva Note, Seattle, Washington; one brother, Ralph Petersen, St. George, Utah and several nieces and nephews.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
