CATHERINE MARGARET CANTILLON, 84

Catherine Margaret Cantillon, 84, of Blair, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa. Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery.

Catherine Margaret Cantillon was born July 20, 1914, to George and Helen (Popel) Schmidt in Dubuque, Iowa.

She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1932, and from Bayless Business College.

On May 8, 1937, she married Watt Cantillon in Clinton, Iowa. The couple raised two children.

Following the death of her husband in 1972, she moved with her daughter’s family to Burlington, Iowa; Kaysville, Utah; Springfield; and LaVista. In 1992, she moved to Rustic Oaks Apartments in Blair and resided at Good Shepherd Home since 1995.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dubuque, Iowa.

She is survived by her son, Watt Cantillon, Jr., of Washington, D.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Marvin Rohwer of rural Fort Calhoun; seven grandchildren, Tom, Greg, Rob, Doug, and Erick Schuller, and Alan and Agelia (sp) Rohwer; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
