Military graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the Alliance (Neb.) cemetery. Mr. Carey died at his home in Blair on Thursday, May 31.
James Oscar Carey was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Northport to Oscar M. and Esther Carey.
He was a veteran of World War II, and served in the United States Navy.
He was a meat cutter at the Super Foods grocery store in Blair.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; sons, Shawn of Blair, Patrick of Concord, Mass.; daughter Patty Yowell of Minneapolis, Minn.; and stepson, Ronald Dughman of Omaha.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
