Sylvan Schneider, Sr., 90, died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999 at the Tekamah Nursing Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Sylvan E. Schneider was born May 1, 1909, to William T. and Caroline (Timme) Schneider in Omaha. He attended Tech High School in Omaha.

He lived in the Omaha area until the latter part of his life when he moved to Oakland, Blair and Arlington.

In 1998, he moved to the Tekamah Nursing Center due to failing health.

He worked as a diesel mechanic at Watson Bros. Transportation and he was a member of the Teamster Union.

He is survived by a son, Sylvan Jr., of Sylmar, Calif.; one brother, Charles of Omaha; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sons, William and Charles; two daughters, Lou and Marie; two brothers and one sister.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
