Frieda C. Schnoor, 80

Services for Frieda C. Schnoor, 80, of Scribner and formerly of Snyder who died May 21, 1991, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point were Friday, May 24 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Snyder. Rev. Robert Shriner officiated. Burial was in St. Peter’s Cemetery at Snyder.

Frieda Conrad was born May 15, 1911, in rural Scribner. She graduated from Scribner High School in 1929 and from Evangelical Covenant Hospital School of Nursing in Omaha in 1932.

She was a nurse for 45 years and worked at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County, retiring in 1975. She moved from her farm home near Snyder to the Good Samaritan Center in Scribner about a year ago.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Snyder, was a charter member of its Ladies Aide, a member of the Retired Nurses Association in Fremont and the Snyder Extension Club.

She married Herman Schnoor October 12, 1933, in Snyder. He preceded her in death July 8, 1989.

She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter and a great-grandson.

She is survived by two sons, Dale and Dean, both of Scribner; a daughter, Treva (Mrs. Larry) Brandt of Effington, Illinois; two brothers, Edwin Conrad of Bennington and Harold Conrad of Fremont; two sisters Elaine Hoegemeyer of Fremont and Dorothy Wegner of Fairbanks, Alaska; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Spear-Johnson Funeral Home in Scribner was in charge of arrangements for the services.
