LeRoy H. Schnoor, 68

Former Blair resident LeRoy H. Schnoor, 68, of Omaha, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 11615 I Street, Omaha. Interment will be at the Blair Cemetery.

LeRoy H. Schnoor was born May 15, 1937, on a farm near Scribner to Harold and Viola (Flamme) Schnoor. He attended high school in Scribner, Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

He spent two years in the United States Army, serving from October 1955 until July of 1957.

He farmed in the Scribner area for two years, worked at Hormel’s in Fremont for two years, and spent the rest of his working career (34 years) with Farm Credit Services in the Omaha and Wichita districts, serving as executive vice-president.

On Aug. 5, 1974, he was married to Mary Dornacker in Blair. They lived in Derby, Kan., Blair and Omaha.

Mr. Schnoor was a member of the Elks Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce, Cosmpolitan Club and King of Kings Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Omaha; sons and daughters-in-law, Jason Schnoor of Breckenridge, Colo., Kyle and Judi Schnoor of Omaha, Mike and Heidi Livermore of Blair, Scott an Linda Livermore of Frisco, Texas, and Tim Livermore of Garden City, Kan.; daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn Schnoor of Cherokee, Iowa, and Chris and Rick Mantz of Omaha; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; mother-in-law, Anna Ibsen of Blair; brother and sister-in-law, William G. and Dianne Schnoor of Fremont; sister, Vernice Vakiner of Snyder; brothers-in-law, Larry Dornacker of Blair, Charles and Marilyn Dornacker of Kennard; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials suggested to King of Kings Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Services Fri 11 a.m., King of Kings Lutheran Church (11615 “I” St). Interment 2 p.m. Blair Cemetery, Blair, NE. Visitation Thurs 5-8 p.m. West Center Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials to King of Kings Church or Family’s Choice.
