Camille Saltzman

Camille Saltzman, a resident of this vicinity for more than fifty years, died in an Omaha hospital September 6, following an operation he underwent ten days previously. He had been in poor health for several years, and although suffering greatly at times during the past three years made the best of his affliction and uncomplainingly awaited the end.

Mr. Saltzman was born in Warren, Pa., December 23, 1867, and came with his parents to Omaha in January, 1872. He came to Washington county ten years later, and on March 5, 1902, was married to Madeline R. Einerine who, with their two sons, Austin a. and C. Edward, survive him. He also leaves three brothers, George R. of Ft. Calhoun, C.J. of Sioux City, Iowa, and Fred, and one sister, Mrs. James Wood, of Seattle, Wash., and two grandchildren, Betty Jean and Melvin Russell.

Mr. Saltzman resided east of Ft. Calhoun until 1914, when he and his family moved to the fine, comfortable farm home which they built south of town. Mr. Saltzman’s friendly and genial disposition, his integrity and kindly helpfulness earned him the esteem of the community, and all unite with the bereaved family in mourning his departure. He united with the Presbyterian church in 1917, and was a consistent and helpful member.

The funeral services will be held at the Ft. Calhoun Presbyterian church this Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery.
