Services for Lawrence Albus, 81, of Beemer, who died December 2, 1986, at Colonial Haven in Beemer, were held December 5, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer. Rev. Michael Walther officiated and burial was in the Beemer Cemetery.

Albus was born December 23, 1904, at West Point, the son of William and Lena Deitrich Albus.

He was married to Virene Sila on February 25, 1931.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Dorothy Albus, of Blair; a daughter and son-in-law Marlys and Karl Redweik of North Judson, Indiana; one brother, William Albus of Courtland, Minnesota; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were LeRoy Albus, Willard Albus, Kenneth Albus, Lauren Albus, Vernon Albus and Lauren Wegner.
