Carl Carlsen passed away Friday at noon from the effects of his injury received last Friday when a horse crushed him. Mr. Carlsen was born in Denmark Feb. 14, 1862, and after coming to America was united in marriage to Miss Anna Hansen who with her daughters, Mrs. Mary Larsen of Herman, Mrs. Dora Knutsen, Mrs. Al Kronberg, Mrs. Rosie Andersen, Misses Dagmar, Tillie and Nina survive to mourn a most indulgent and affectionate father. A son, Ray, was also born to them and he passed away 9 years ago, when a school boy. Mr. Carlsen also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mary Christensen of Florence. He numbered his friends by his acquaintances as was attested by the large concourse at his funeral which was held from the Danish Lutheran church Sunday afternoon. Rev. Andersen of Blair, conducting the Danish services and Rev. Iversen those in English. He will be missed not only by his family but by all who knew him.
