RITES BEING HELD TODAY FOR MRS. EDGAR FAIRCHILD

Mrs. Edgar O. Fairchild of Kennard passed away Tuesday morning, October 26, at the Blair Hospital after an illness of ten weeks. She was born at Kennard December 23, 1866, where she received her schooling, graduating from the Kennard High School in May of 1903. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Burgess. Her father was a widely known livestock buyer and shipper in Washington County. Their daughter, Etta, was married to Edgar O. Fairchild in the year 1910.

They have resided in Washington County since their marriage. To this union were born four children, Ben, George, Betty and Barbara, the two latter having passed away in infancy.

She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her immediate family, one sister, Mrs. Mertie Horn, Pueblo, Colorado; two brothers, William C. and John A. Burgess, both of Omaha and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. in Kennard, Nebraska from the Methodist church with Rev. E. P. Booher of Omaha officiating.
