Blair native Darlene M. Roumph, 71, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at her home in Cedar Bluffs.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 8, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs. Pastors Ken Davidson and Kent Freedman officiated. Interment was in Fremont’s Memorial Cemetery.

Darlene M. Roumph was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Blair to Soren and Helena (Rosenbaum) McDonald. She grew up in Blair and Kennard and was a 1949 graduate of Kennard High School.

On Dec. 2, 1950, she married Donnie P. Roumph in Fremont. After her marriage, she lived in Fremont for two years and worked at the F.W. Woolworth Co. store for a short time. The family later moved to Cedar Bluffs. After the death of her husband in 1990, Mrs. Roumph worked at Arbor Manor in Fremont for 10 years in the housekeeping department.

Mrs. Roumph is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Julie Roumph of Cedar Bluffs; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy Dvorak of Fremont, Viki and Garry Johnson of Cedar Bluffs and Michelle and Doug Vyhlidal of North Bend; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Sharon McDonald of Omaha and William and Alice McDonald of Fremont; sister and brothers-in-law, Judy and William Goodman of Tracy, Calif., and Philip Nielsen of Sparks, Nev.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Donnie, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sandra; son, Randall; sister, Lois Nielsen; brother, Warren McDonald; son-in-law, Elden Dvorak; twin grandsons, Bryan and Brent Johnson.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and the Fremont Area Medical Center Hospice Program.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs was in charge of arrangements.
