MRS. KARL PETERSEN

Mrs Karl Petersen, residing on east Washington street, Blair, Neb., passes away Monday afternoon at 5:30. Deceased was born in Denmark where she grew to womanhood and was married. Her husband died while still living in Denmark and with her only son she came to America. Here she met and married Mr. Karl Petersen.

She was seventy-one years of age at her death. The son, Axel Fredericksen arrived Tuesday from Lake City, Iowa and was present at the funeral which was held at the home on Wednesday at 1 o’clock and the body was taken to Chebanse, Ill for interment.

Mrs. Karl Petersen died at her home on east Washington street at 4:30 Monday evening of heart trouble, from which she has been suffering for some two months past. Rev. H. Nelson will conduct the funeral service at 1 o’clock at the house today and the body will be taken to the union station in Omaha for shipment to her old home in Chebaust, Illinois for burial. Besides her husband she leaves an only son by a former marriage, Axel Frederickson of Lake City, Ia. Mrs. Frederickson had been here for several days helping care for her before she died, and he came for the funeral service. She was 71 years of age. They lived in what was formerly the Asa Dixon property on south Walker Avenue for nine or ten years, buying the Wm. Allen bungalow some five years ago and have lived there ever since.
