Rites Held Monday For Lena Petersen

Funeral services were held today (Monday) for Mrs. Lena Petersen, 82 years of age, who died Friday at the McBride Nursing Home.

The services were held at Campbell Mortuary the Rev. George Pallesen officiating. Interment to follow in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Petersen is survived by two sons, Nels of Blair and George of Omaha; daughters, Mrs. Floyd Curley and Mrs. Dick Maxwell of Blair and Mrs. Jim Schneider of Kennard. Four brothers, Jim, Louie, Fred and John Jensen, all of Blair; sisters, Mrs. Sarah Anderson and Mrs. Alice Therkelsen, both of Blair, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grand-children.

Mrs. Petersen was born May 11, 1880 in Omaha. In March of 1902 she married the late Jens G. Petersen, who died March 20, 1937. They farmed in the McCarthy area. Mrs. Petersen resided on the home place for 55 years before moving to Blair.
