MRS. L. PETERSEN

Mrs. Lena Petersen, as Miss Lena Christensen was born in Denmark August 26, 1871. At the age of 17, she came to Atlantic, Iowa. Later she came to Omaha where she made her home for 15 years.

In 1893, she was married to Chris Christensen. After his death, she moved to Blair and in 1913 united in marriage with Rasmus Petersen of Blair.

Mr. Petersen preceded her in death April 9, 1933. Mrs. Petersen continued to live on the farm in the Rose Hill community until February 3, 1949 when she was called to her Heavenly Home.

She leaves to mourn a daughter, Mrs. Ross Davis, a son Carl Christensen, four grandchildren, also Morris Christensen of Omaha whom she raised from a small child; one sister, Mrs. Hannah Nielsen, of Omaha, a brother, Edward Petersen, of Seattle, Wash. and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 6 at the Fick Funeral Home and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
