Warren W. Schoville, 66

Warren W. Schoville, 66, of Mondamin, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, at West Lawn Hillcrest Cemetery.

Warren William “Sonny” Schoville was born March 8, 1943.

He served his country honorably as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne from 1965-1967.

Mr. Schoville will always be remembered as a man of his word. He worked for Ag-Bag until their closure as the maintenance supervisor, and held a similar position with Vickers Manufacturing in Omaha. He also had a business doing siding work, and installed siding on many homes in the Blair area.

He was an excellent golfer, avid fisherman and loved working with his hands doing woodwork, gardening and mechanical repair. His work ethic and outdoor activities kept him busy right up to his untimely death.

Always living life to the fullest, helping others and providing for his family are attributes that served him well.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rena Schoville, sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Margie Schoville, Mike and Michelle Schoville, Jerry and Darla Schoville, daughter, Shari Ann Thomas; seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; mother, Mary Schoville of Logan, Iowa; brother, Perly Schoville of Blair; five sisters, Cheryl Fritz of Logan, Sonja Martinez of Duncan, Okla., Johnna Knox, Colleen Moses and Brenda Parker, all of Omaha.
