Francis McAllister Died Tuesday At Veterans Hospital

Francis N. McAllister, a native of Decatur and a resident of Rosterman Trailer Court in Blair, died Tuesday at Veterans’ Hospital in Omaha. He was 48 years of age. He was born at Decatur on November 1, 1926.

Mr. McAllister was a receiving clerk with Nebraska Engineering of Omaha. He was a veteran of World War 2.

He is survived by his wife, Myra, and by a son and two daughters. The son is Steven McAllister of Omaha. The daughters are Mrs. Kenneth Christiansen of Des Moines, Iowa, and Lori McAllister of Blair. There are three sisters: Mrs. Blanche Hatch of Omaha, Mrs. Phyllis Kline of Ithaca, and Mrs. Teola Davis of Tekamah.

Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) in First United Methodist Church in Blair, the Rev. Gordon Patterson is conducting the service. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Robert Buckley, William Leahy, Carlo Borini, Jerry Luby, Danny McIntosh and Dave Schneider.
