A funeral Mass for Cyril Uhing, 92, of Hartington will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. Uhing died Dec. 24.

Uhing was born on Feb. 9, 1921 in Hartington to Herman and Anna (Promes) Uhing. He attended school at St. Peter and Paul in Bow Valley. After the eighth grade, he farmed with his brother, Eddie, until 1968 when he moved to Blair to farm. Uhing enjoyed discovering new ways to fix and improve mechanical challenges in his workshop. He also liked to read, farm and listen to music.

He is survived by one brother Hubert (LeAnn) of Hartington, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Edmund and two sisters, Sr. Bernice and Julia Leise.

Campbell Aman Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Cyril L. Uhing, 92, of Hartington, died Wednesday, Dec. 25th, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Hartington.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair following mass.
