FRANK H. McBRIDE DIES SUDDENLY

Frank H. McBride, a resident of Dexterville, died suddenly on Monday morning at about four o’clock. He had been in poor health for some time, and some time ago had suffered an amputation of a foot due to a blood clot.

He seemed to regain his health after the operation, and did his work around his home apparently in good health and good spirits. The attack which ended his life came suddenly and unexpectedly.

Deceased was born in Connersville, Iowa on June 17, 1871. When he was four years of age the family moved to this county, and for a long term of years resided on a farm in the Sunnyside school district.

On November 30, 1893 he was married to Miss Isabelle McDonald. Two daughters were born to them, both of whom have passed away. Besides the widow he leaves three grandchildren of the immediate family to mourn his passing. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Rachel McDonald, who will grieve greatly over his death.

Mr. McBride had lived in this county for the past seventy years, and knew the early history of the county. His life was spared long enough that he and his wife might celebrate their Golden Wedding which occurred on November 30, 1943. It was indeed a happy event.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock from the Methodist church with Rev. Sidney L. McCaig officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Note: Per Blair Cemetery listing, Frank died 1 Dec 1945; buried Blk 104 Lot 10 Grave 1.
