Memorial services will be held at a later date in Hopewell Cemetery near Barnett, Missouri for Robert Petersen, Sr., 89 of Barnett and formerly of Blair who died Sunday, October 10, 1993 at Memorial Community Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri and was cremated.

Robert Petersen was born July 30, 1904 in Omaha to Peter J. and Anna Christensen Petersen.

He married Luscynda Gustin June 23, 1926.

He was an iron worker until his retirement in 1969 when he moved to Barnett where he also farmed. He was a member of the Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Carolyn Nelson; one sister, Lillian Jacobsen and three grandchildren, William R. Welch, Wayne Nelson and Vickie Jo Petersen.

He is survived by his wife, Luscynda of Barnett; one son, Robert Petersen, Jr. of Versailles; two daughters, Hertha Daniels and Donnabelle Bolton, both of Barnett; two brothers, Raymond Pedersen*, Des Moines, Iowa and Roland Pedersen* of Prescott, Arizona; two sisters, Helen McDonald and Alma Ellis of Denver, Colorado; eight grand-children; 15 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles was in charge of arrangements.
