Rosa A. Petersen, 79 years of age passed away in an Omaha hospital Dec. 24. She was born and lived in Washington County for many years. At the time of her death she made her home with her son at 2424 South 41st in Omaha.

She is survived by sons; Fred of Spalding, Nebraska, Paul H. of Kennard, Carroll of Yutan, Nebraska and Eldon of Omaha; 4 daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Henriksen of Hopkins, Minnesota, Mrs. Henry Hagedorn and Mrs. Robert Brocker both of Omaha, and Mrs. Wes Smith of Beaver City, Nebraska. There are also 2 sisters surviving: Mrs. Emma Petersen of Bennington, and Mrs. Catherine Labs of Blair, and 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services were held December 28th at the Haden-Golden mortuary in Bennington at 1:30 with Rev. Conrad J. Schmitz officiating. Interment was in the German Cemetery.
