Funeral services were held March 21, 1992 in Omaha at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for Roy P. Petersen, 79 of Omaha, who died March 18, 1992. Rev. Mark Schulz officiated. Burial was at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Roy P. Petersen was born August 8, 1912 at Orum to H. Chris and Inga Nielsen Petersen. He attended Blair High School and graduated from Concordia College in Seward in 1935. He taught school for 22 years.

He married Helen Buehler August 21, 1938. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gifford and Irvin Petersen and one sister, Irene (Mrs. Raymond) Scheer.

He is also survived by one son, Eugene, and one grandson, Brian of California.
