SON OF MR. AND MRS. HANS PETERSEN DIES IN COLORADO

Mr. Russell M. Petersen of Greeley, Colorado, died early Saturday morning, September 4th at the Welds County Hospital after a lingering illness.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans G. Petersen of Blair. He was born at Blair on July 31st, 1914 and was 57 years of age at the time of his death. He was confirmed at the Congregational Church in Arlington and graduated from the Arlington High School in 1933.

For many years he was employed by the Weld County Garage at Greeley. For the past two years he had been employed by the State of Colorado at the Port of Entry at Lamar, Colorado. He served for three years in World War II.

Survivors are his wife Josephine, his parents, and a brother, Wilford Petersen of Fontana, California.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at two o’clock from the Macy Allnut Drawing Room. Pallbearers were Rodney and Clyde Lewis, Earl Lester, Jerry Heberlein, Alfred Marr and Harold King.

Mr. and Mrs. Hans Petersen left by plane Tuesday morning to attend the funeral services.
