Mrs. Anna Peterson Died At Kearney

Mrs. Anna Grimm Peterson, lifetime resident of Blair, died at the Nebraska State Hospital at Kearney. Mrs. Peterson had been in failing health for a number of months.

She was born in Blair, October 18th, 1881 and would have been 82 years old had she lived another two weeks. She was born in Blair and was a member of a pioneer family of farmers and landowners. She was a sister of the well known Grimm brothers, Ed Grimm, Hannis Grimm and Henry Grimm, all of whom were farmers and feeders of consequence in this area.

Mrs. Peterson’s husband, Karl Peterson, died more than 30 years ago.

She is survived by three sons, Karl Adolph Peterson of New York City; Lt. Col. Oscar Peterson, of Seattle, Washington and Julius C. Peterson of Seattle, Washington. There are also four grandsons, one granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews. A brother, Dr. Arthur Grimm, is located in New York City.

Mrs. Peterson was a member of the Episcopal Church, the Royal Neighbor lodge, the American War Mothers, Order of Eastern Star and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be in charge of E.R. Kinnison of the Bendorf Funeral Home but the date of the services is pending. Arrangements will be completed when the sons arrive Friday.

PETERSON BROTHERS VISIT IN BLAIR

Lt. Col. Oscar Peterson of Seattle, Karl A. Peterson of New York City and Julius Peterson of Corpus Christi, Texas came to Blair to attend the funeral of their mother, Mrs. Anna Grimm Peterson, who died at Kearney, Nebraska last Thursday. They all came by plane, and will be here for several days visiting relatives and friends, and attending to business matters.
