Arthur L. Peterson, born September 5, 1900, died at the age of 88, Sunday, June 4 at Blair Memorial Community Hospital. He had been a resident of Good Shepherd Home in Blair since January.

He was born near Irvington and farmed with his brother Al in the Irvington area. In 1932 he married Ruby Buller and in 1936 they bought the Irvington Implement Store. He sold the store in 1947 and resumed farming at 102 Maple where they lived until 1966.

They have lived in Sunny Slope since that time. Art became ill in January and moved to the Good Shepherd Home.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Sharon, Larry and Kathleen and a daughter, Joyce, and her husband Lawrence Jacobsen. Ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one brother, Allen of Omaha also survive.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, five brothers, one grandchild, Brad Peterson and one great-grandchild, Alexandra Rutherford.

Funeral Services were June 7, 1989 at Roeder Mortuary in Omaha with Rev. Fred Moore officiating.
