James A. Henige, 74, died peacefully at his home Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, in Arlington.

A Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 5020 Grand Ave., in Omaha. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108th St., Omaha.

James A. Henige was born May 26, 1939, to Albert and Helene Henige.

He served in the U.S. Navy

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Henige-Mihelich; sons: Gerald (Michelle), Mark (Julie), Robert (Jana), Michael (Starla) and John (Heidi); 27 Grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special friends Dick and Marcella Heye.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Marie; son Thomas; brother David; and granddaughter: Kaylee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Omaha.
