McCandless Funeral Held August 19

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 1974 for the operator of the South Omaha Airport who died of a heart attack.

Harry S. McCandless, 51, of 1601 Bellevue Boulevard North, Bellevue, Nebraska, operated the airport, which is two miles east of Papillion for seven years.

McCandless, a WW II Navy fighter pilot, previously managed the Council Bluffs Municipal Airport for 16 years.

His survivors include his widow, the former Henreitta Misfeldt, of Washington County, sons David, Samuel, Harry Jr., and Mickey, all of Bellevue, and an aunt, Mrs. Leon Mainelli of Omaha.

Funeral services were at the Crosby Kunold Colonial Chapel, with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery.
