ELIZABETH K. CARLSON, 84

Elizabeth K. Carlson, 84, of Blair, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Services were 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair.

Elizabeth K. Carlson was born Dec. 26, 1914, to Lewis and Katherine (Quinlan) Grimm in Blair.

A 1932 graduate of Blair High School, she retired from the Corp of Engineers in Omaha where she worked as a legal examiner in the Missouri River Division. She worked as secretary of the Nebraska Association of Meat Processors for 20 years.

She was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 3215 in Blair, serving as secretary for 10 years and also as president. She also served as state president, regional president and past grand officer of the auxiliary.

Elizabeth and her husband, Robert, organized 2 Aeries and Auxiliaries during 35 years of membership, Wayne 3757 and Elkhorn 3943.

She served on the Blair Planning Board for years, was a member of the Nebraska Commission on the Status of Women, treasurer of Holy Cross Cemetery for years and held offices in the church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Carlson of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
