ROBERT J. CARLSON, 84

Robert J. Carlson, 84, died Friday, July 22, 2005, at his residence in Blair. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the funeral home.

Robert J. Carlson was born Jan. 30, 1921, in Harlan, Iowa to Axel and Carrie (Fischer) Carlson.

He married Elizabeth Grimm and the couple owned and operated the Carlson Meat Market until 1978, when Mr. Carlson sold the business.

Mr. Carlson was past president of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles; past state president, past West Central Regional president, served as secretary for the Blair Aerie for five years and as treasurer for 20 years. He helped form the Wayne and Elkhorn Aerie Eagles and served as secretary for the Elkhorn Aerie.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Davidson of Blair, and by cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, in July 1999.
