CHARLES CARMICHAEL DIED SATURDAY AT GOOD SHEPHERD

Charles Guy Carmichael, a lifetime resident of Blair, died last Saturday, April 21st at the Good Shepherd Home. He was 78 years old, having been born at Blair April 9, 1895.

Although he had been retired for years, as a younger man he worked as a section hand and laborer for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. His wife, Hannah, preceded him in death. He is survived by five sons and two daughters.

The sons are George Carmichael of Blair; Harold Carmichael of Bridgeport, Nebraska; Orville Cole of Omaha; Robert Carmichael, Omaha; Richard Carmichael of California; and Guy Carmichael of Omaha. The daughters are Mrs. Charlotte Vorce of Omaha and Mrs. Cecil Janbey (Peggy) of Cherry Valley, California.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Sanford D. Sorgen conducted the service and burial was made in the Blair cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Dale Stricklett, Ivan Larsen, Terry Carmichael, Keith Carmichael, Earl Stokes and Faulke Clausen.
