Keith Carmichael, 39, was born January 15, 1945. He graduated from Blair High School in 1963, from Dana College in 1972, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1965 and served in Vietnam. He married Sandra Schumacher May 21, 1966 in Kennard. She survives, as do Keith’s parents George and Mardell (Hansen) Carmichael of Blair; children, Lynn, Kent and Jana; brother Terry of Missouri Valley, iowa and Mrs. Bob (Yvonne) French of Arlington.

A member of the First Lutheran Church, Keith began trusting Jesus Christ five years ago and continues to walk with and serve Him now. Keith got to know Jesus well, especially during Friendship Bible Studies, which Keith coordinated for couples’ studies in Blair. He really loved the people in those classes.

Keith was very devoted to his family and his favorite pastime was being with them. He coached Lynn’s ball teams and enjoyed teaching his boys about all of the sports he loved. Most important, he taught them about our Savior.

From childhood, Keith enjoyed playing ball and bowling. He was a pin setter at the old alley, and during high school, he worked as a projectionist at the old Home Theatre.

He was a member of the Blair Masonic Lodge and Shrine, VFW and American Legion.

Pallbearers will be Bill Anderson, Allen Bilau, Clyde Hill, Richard Johnson, Ray Lantry, Stephen Runyon and Lyle Schjodt.

Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Curley, Loren Jones, Dennis Frahm, Joel Kolterman, Robert Loewe, Clair McKinnis, Don Petersen and Ray Warren.
