Angela S. Schroeder, 39, of Arlington, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, in a motorcycle accident near Craig.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Angela S. Schroeder was born Sept. 15, 1966, in Omaha to Walter L and Patricia (Krambeck) Groves. She attended elementary school in Blair, and graduated from Blair High School in 1964.

She received her associate’s degree from Metro Tech College, and was employed as the secretary of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her two children, Taryn and Nicholas, of Arlington; parents, Walt and Pat Groves; brothers and sister-in-law, Walter “Butch” and Taraisa Groves, and Richard Groves, all of Blair; grandparents, Xona Groves of Blair, Eleanor Krambeck of Springfield; aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Walter L Groves, Sr., and Laverne Krambeck.

About 10:45 p.m. Saturday, two people on a motorcycle were killed in a crash on a paved county road south of Craig, in northeast Nebraska, the Burt County Sheriff’s Office said.

Driver Corie Voskamp, 36, of Craig, and his passenger, Angela Shroeder, 39, of Arlington, Neb. were pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle went off the side of the road and down an embankment and then rolled, the Sheriff’s Office said. Neither person was wearing a helmet, a dispatcher said.

Arlington woman killed in Saturday motorcycle crash

A motorcycle accident on Saturday night, July 8, claimed two lives, including one Washington County woman.

According to the Burt County Sheriff’s Office, Corie L. Voskamp, 36, Craig, and Angela S. Schroeder, 39, Arlington, were heading south on CR 21 in Burt County. At approximately 10:45 p.m. the motorcycle, driven by Voskamp, ran off the west side of the blacktop and crashed in a bean field. Both Voskamp and Schroeder died of injuries at the scene. Neither were wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The accident was investigated by the Burt County Sheriff’s Office.

Shroeder is survived by two children, her parents, two brothers, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

Funeral services for Schroeder will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Tuesday.
