Services are 10 a.m. Monday, December 31 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for Katharine Helen Schroeder, 77 of Herman who died suddenly December 27, 1990. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Rosary was said Sunday evening.

Katharine Helen Schroeder was born near St. Edwards, Nebraska in Boone County March 6, 1913 to Henry and Anna Heltenberg Schroeder. In 1926 she came to Washington County with her family.

She graduated from Fort Calhoun High School 1931. In 1956, she graduated from Wayne State College.

She taught in Washington County Schools for 45 years. She taught 30 years in Blair Community Schools.

She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, the Hillside Club, St. Francis CCW and the Over 55 Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Robert and Raymond.

She is survived by one brother, Richard Schroeder; two sisters, Marian Schroeder and Veronica (Mrs. Ruday) Fuhrman, all of Herman; two sisters-in-law, Delores Schroeder and Joan Schroeder and by 19 nieces and nephews.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
