Funeral services for Olive M. Schroeder, 91, of Fremont, who died Wednesday, September 10, 1986, in Arbor Manor in Fremont, were held Monday, September 15, 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church chapel in Fremont. Rev. John Swearingin officiated and burial was in the Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Mrs. Schroeder was born September 8, 1895, the daughter of Oliver and Minnie Gilmore of Omaha.

She graduated from Fremont High School and Fremont Normal College. She returned to Fremont after teaching school, in 1932.

She taught school at Hooper, Morse Bluff, Telebasta, Yutan and Elkhorn. She opened a beauty shop in 1932 and operated it for 50 years in Fremont.

Mrs. Schroeder was a member and past president of the Fremont Altrusa Club and a charter member of the Luna chapter 169, Order of the Eastern Star at Elkhorn. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and she taught Sunday School for 15 years.

Survivors include her sisters, Mrs. Dora Walroth of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mrs. Muriel Wiegand of Cedar Bluffs, Norma Gilmore of Fremont and Mrs. Lawrence (Bess) Brown of Arlington, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William and a sister, Lela Wiegand.

Pallbearers were Carrol Wiegand, Bob Wiegand, Tim Prchal, Larry Voss, Gerald Kavan and Alvin Voss.

Organist was Mrs. Kay Voss and soloist was Mrs. Shirley Schmidt.

Moser Memorial Chapel of Fremont was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the church.
