Services Held For Dick Peterson Monday

Funeral services were Monday, June 23, at 10:30 a.m. for Dick LeRoy Peterson, 54, who died June 20, 1980, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital. Rev. Walter G. Millett officiated at the services which were held at Campbell Funeral Home. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Dick LeRoy Peterson was born May 6, 1926, at Craig, Nebraska, to Soren and Hazel (Scarlet) Peterson. He was married to Vera Radovic and the couple lived in rural Nickerson.

He worked in maintenance at Hormel Packing Plant. He was a World War II veteran, serving from November 7, 1945 to August 4, 1948.

He is survived by his wife, Vera, Nickerson; and two daughters, Linda Kay Maher, Miramar, Florida and Wendy Lynn Wiese of Tekamah. His mother, Hazel Peterson of Blair; one sister, Roma Gerard, Medford, Oregon; two brothers, David Peterson, Fort Calhoun, and John Peterson, Brookings, Oregon, and one granddaughter also survive him.

Pallbearers were Eldon Villwok, Alfred Eriksen, Emmanuel Kovar, Leonard Petersen, Clifford Petersen and Darald Crom.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
