Mrs. Peterson Found Dead Tuesday

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Bendorf Funeral Home for Mrs. Elsie Christine Peterson, 81 years of age, of 2154 Lincoln St., who was found dead at her home Tuesday.

The Rev. George Pallesen will officiate with interment at Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Peterson was found dead in the living room at her home, Tuesday afternoon by her son-in-law, Hans Mencke. Mr. Mencke received no response when he rang the door bell and removed a screen door and used a skeleton key to enter the house. Mrs. Peterson reportedly died of a heart attack. She had been dead several hours.

Mrs. Peterson was born in Denmark, December 11, 1878 and came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus P. Anderson.

December 16, 1898 she was married to Peter L. Peterson at Fremont. Mr. Peterson died in 1950. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson farmed near Blair until 1913* when they retired from the farm and moved to Blair.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alfred Paulsen of Cozad. Mrs. Paulsen will be unable to attend the funeral as she is ill in the Cozad Hospital. Other survivors are six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
