Services Held For Fred C. Peterson

Funeral services were held for Fred C. Peterson Saturday, March 11, 1978 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, Nebraska, conducted by Father Daniel Galas.

He passed away at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair Wednesday morning March 8, 1978.

He was born at Pisgah, Iowa March 19, 1903 and devoted all of his livelihood to farming. He was married to Myrle Sindt at Woodbine, Iowa June 14, 1928. To this union two sons were born, Gerald F. and Roger D. who both reside in Omaha, Nebraska.

In 1933 he purchased a farm near Dunlap, Iowa on which he lived and enjoyed farming until ill health forced him to quit in 1968. On December 9, 1972 he moved to Blair, Nebraska to retire. The following May he suffered a stroke and has been in ill health ever since.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Myrle, two sons, Gerald and Roger, six grandchildren, two great-grandsons, a brother, Dave Peterson, a sister, Eva McHugh, both of Magnolia, Iowa besides numerous relatives and friends.

He was laid to rest in Holy Cross cemetery in Blair. Pallbearers were Pete Heller and Orville Wright from Dunlap, Iowa, Tony Essor and Kenneth Coenen from Woodbine, Iowa and Jim Nielsen and Raymond Jensen from Blair.
