Hannah Peterson Dies At Swannanoa, North Carolina

Word has been received that 92 year old Hannah Peterson died at Swannanoa, North Carolina, on Wednesday, December 19th. Miss Peterson resided in Blair before moving to North Carolina in 1970.

Miss Peterson was born on February 10, 1887 in Denmark. She came to the U.S. in 1892. She lived in Council Bluffs and Blair before moving to North Carolina.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 21, at the Warren Wilson College Chapel in Swannonoa. Rev. Fred Ohler officiated with burial in the Warren Wilson College Cemetery.

Memorials can be sent to the Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, North Carolina. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, of Council Bluffs and a member of the Eastern Star.

There are four nieces surviving Miss Hannah Peterson. They are: Mrs. Dorothy Siert, Blair; Mrs. Jean Bennett, Longmont, Colorado; Mrs. Joan Morrow, Omaha; Mrs. Marian Anderson of North Carolina.
