Frank Keifer was called to West Point on Tuesday morning by the sudden death of his father, Henry Keifer. The deceased was a resident of Washington County for many years and was well known in this community. Obituary next week.

Henry Kiefer was born in Baden, Germany in 1842 and died at West Point February 4, after a short illness. He was married to Barbara Fees in 1872 and to this union eight children were born, four of whom survive him. He came to Washington County in 1892 and lived at Blair and near Herman for many years. He was well acquainted in this community and has a host of friends who thought highly of him. Funeral services were conducted at Tekamah last Thursday afternoon after which burial was made in the Tekamah cemetery. Surviving him are three sons, Len Kiefer of Tekamah; Frank Kiefer of this city; and Albert Kiefer. A daughter, Mrs. Will Frank, also survives him.
