SERVICES SET FOR FORMER ARLINGTON WOMAN

Memorial services for Layne Rowe, 27, of Alvo, have been set for Thursday, May 8, at 4 p.m. at the First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln. The Rev. Otis Young and Rev. Gerald Senn will officiate. The remains will be cremated.

The former Arlington resident was found dead in her partially burned home on May 1. Her husband is being held in connection with her death.

Layne Rowe was born October 9, 1952, in Omaha. She later moved to Arlington where she spent much of her childhood. She attended Arlington High School and served on a number of clubs at the school.

She was employed by the Brunswick Corporation in Lincoln where she was a quality control technician.

Survivors include her husband Paul; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Jorgensen, Arlington; two brothers, Loell, Fremont, and Larry, Arlington; one sister, Mrs. John (Lorna) Timm, Fremont; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Emselmon, Glenwood, Iowa.

A memorial fund has been established to the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Athletic Softball Equipment Fund, the Alvo-Eagle Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Squad or the Arlington Community Church.

Metcalf Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements for the services.
