Edna McClelland Buried Dec. 17th

Edna Roberta McClelland passed away Dec. 17, 1964 at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital following major surgery.

Miss McClelland was born April 24, 1895 at Burlington Junction, Missouri to Alton and Charlotte McClelland.

She grew up around Burlington Junction and lived there until 1936, at which time she moved to Cole Camp, Mo., living there until 1946. At that time she moved to Blair and made her home with her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Loran Winslow. She was employed by the Blair Telephone Co. until her retirement.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Loran Winslow. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jess (Hazel) Suttle of Beatrice, Nebr., and one brother, M. L. McClelland at Cole Camp, Mo. Memorial services were held Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Bendorf Mortuary. Burial services were held at the Christian Church in Burlington Junction, Sunday, December 26.

Pallbearers were nephews: Ora Penningon, Murrey Shelton, Jack Colwell, Lawrence Winslow, Dave Winslow and Jay Suttle.

Edna McClelland Passed Away On Thursday

Edna McClelland, of 1767 Colfax Street in Blair, passed away Thursday. She was 69 years old at the time of her death.

Funeral arrangements and other information was not yet available as this paper went to press Thursday afternoon. Bendorf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Note: The obituary has the death date as Dec. 17th and the burial date the same. I don't think the burial date is correct.
