Noel S. Ruhkamp, 65, of Blair, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, in Omaha.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 20, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. A private interment followed.

Noel S. Ruhkamp was born Sept. 18, 1943, in Pierre, S.D., to John and Margaret Ruhkamp.

He attended Catholic school in Winner, S.D.

He spent five years in the National Guard, and was a welder for many years. His hobbies included reading, woodworking, camping, and enjoying his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Mole) Ruhkamp; daughters Melissa Peck of Bonesteel, S.D.; Pam Johnson of Burk, S.D.; Renee Ruhkamp of Blair; Cheri Hageman of Herman; son, Tim Ruhkamp of Atlanta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Harter of Winner, S.D.; Fransis Wheeler of Fort Collins, Colo.; brother, Gene Ruhkamp of Havre, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Katrina; sister, Monica; and brothers, Loren, Norbert, Kenny and Dave.

Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans.
