Garland LeRoy Runyon, 74, of Sun City, Ariz. died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Sun Healthcare Center.

Services were Jan. 27 at Menke Funeral Home in Sun City. Burial was in Sunland Memorial Park.

Mr. Runyon was born in Little Fork, Minn. He was owner of Blair Redi-Mix and co-owner or Runyon-Long Construction Company. He had served as councilman while living in Blair. He moved to Sun City in1986.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge Not. 21, American Legion Post No. 154, Eagles and the Shrine Tangier Temple in Omaha.

Survivors are his wife, Nellie of Sun City; son, Stephen R. Runyon of Peoria, Ariz., a brother Richard Runyon of Plymouth, Minn.; sisters, Myrna Peters of Shellknob, Mo. and Delores Bradach of Chishom, Minn.; and three grandchildren.
