William F. Schuette, 84

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, August 22 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow for William F. Shuette, 84, of Hooper who died August 19, 1991 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. Rev. Rodney Meske is officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

William F. Schuette was born October 6, 1906 in Fremont. He lived and farmed in the Hooper and Washington County area most of his life. He moved to Hooper in 1984.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooper, was treasurer of Lutheran Layman’s League and was active in the Senior Citizen’s Center. He was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Hooper, where he was a trustee, Sunday School teacher and was active in Lutheran Layman’s League.

He married Esther Geisler. She preceded him in death.

He then married Aagot Klebe. She preceded him in death.

He married Katherine Lang Husk August 10, 1988 in Sidney.

In addition to his first two wives, he was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine; two daughters, Joyce Schuette of Lincoln and Luella (Mrs. Gerald) Jahnke of West Point; four sons, Kenneth of Mead, Larry of Raymond, Leon of Hooper and Delbert of Denton; six stepdaughters, Jane (Mrs. David) Puhl of Omaha, Donna Craig, Beverly (Mrs. Donald) Walraven and Mardell (Mrs. Stanley) Bokowski, all of Fremont, Mary (Mrs. Wayne) Panning of Hooper and Marcedes (Mrs. Don) Egbers of Uehling; three stepsons, Bob Klebe, Dick Klebe and Dennis Klebe, all of Fremont; 12 grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
