Mrs. McCoy Gone

The death of Mrs. Geo. McCoy occurred Saturday afternoon Sept. 22, at the M. E. hospital in Omaha following an illness of several months duration. Funeral services were held at the home on west Washington street on Monday, Sept. 24, at one o’clock and burial was made in the Rose Hill cemetery, Rev. Bader of the M.E. church, of which the deceased was a member, conducted the services.

Edmonia Lamb was born March 31, 1868 to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lamb, now deceased. She was married to George McCoy Sept 18, 1884 and lived for a number of years in the Rose Hill neighborhood in this county.

They retired from farm work a few years ago and moved to Blair where they have since resided.

The deceased leaves four children and her husband to mourn her passing. The children are Mrs. Bertha Sutherland, west of Blair, Bryan, of Ohio, Ariz., Mrs. Halgar Hansen, of Blair and Evelyn, who resides at home. All were present at the funeral services.

She is also survived by three brothers, Will, of Fremont, Henry of Grand Island and Charlie of Blair and three sisters, Mrs. Andy Allen and Mrs. James Ryan, of Blair and Mrs. Will Meadow, of Fremont.

A large gathering of friends at the home at the funeral service testified to the esteem in which she was held by all.

The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow.
