Bert Faltys, a former Blair resident, died March 10, 1988, at the Parkway Nursing Home in Snohomish, Washington.

Bert and his wife Betty lived for many years on west Nebraska Street.

He was associated with Nebraska-Iowa Supply Company. Mrs. Faltys, who preceded Bert in death, was the former Betty Hopewell.

Bert left Blair in 1979 to make his home with his son John and his family, who live on Whidbey Island near Seattle, Washington, where John has law offices. Bert suffered a series of paralytic strokes in 1985, and had been at the nursing home since that time. He suffered a fatal stroke shortly before March 10, and had been bedfast for several years.

Burial was in the nearby Langley Cemetery.
