LOUIS ROBERT LARSEN “LOU” - - Sep. 26, 1931 – Jan. 2, 2014. Omaha. Lou Larsen passed away January 2, 2014 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He served the country he loved in the Marine Corps during the Korean War at Chosin Reservoir; 1st Marine Division 5th Regiment 2nd Battalion D Company (Dog), dual Recipient of two purple hearts. After the war he resided with his family in Omaha and Arlington, Nebraska. He worked for Admiral Merchants / Teamsters Union and retired in 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Doris (Leonard) Larsen; his brothers, William (Bill) and Richard (Skip) Larsen and his first grandchild Mandy Larsen. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley (Evans); his sons, Robert (Bobby) and wife Jane; Alan and wife Debra; his granddaughters, Sarah (Chad) Buettner, Rachel Porter, Laura Larsen; nine great-grandchildren; brother Lawrence (Larry) Larsen and other family and friends.

VISITATION Sunday 2 – 4 pm at mortuary. FUNERAL SERVICE Monday 10:30 am at Arlington Community Church, 365 N. 4th St., Arlington, NE. Interment Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alegent Hospice.
